Jack Mayfield, long-time Old Timers member who served as President 1971-1972, passsed away on July 20, 2010. Jack operated the drug store on the corner of Antioch Pike and Nolensville Road for 55 plus years, first with Garrett Drug Co. and then as Mayfield Drug Co. Some of the highlights of Jack's life were playing professional baseball, serving in the Army Air Corps and UT Football. He was a member of John B. Garrett Lodge #711 F&AM. Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 4 - 8 p.m., at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road and Friday from 12 - 1 p.m. at the church. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 23, 2010 at 1 p.m., at Radnor Church of Christ, 407 McClellan Avenue, by Wendell Byrd & Fay Cornwell. Interment Mapleview Cemetery. |
